The cinema itself looks grandiose and fancy! You get that feeling of going back in time a little. We sat in row 19 but I would say even though it was quite far from the screen, I could still see everything well. Still, I subtract two point for two very important things: popcorn and ventilation. There is no popcorn :( I understand the place is fancy but it just doesn't feel the same seeing a movie with an overpriced bag of nuts instead of a bag of good old popcorn. Second, the ventilation! The venue was quite packed on a chilly evening and there was no air to breathe during the movie. Imagine 700 people in a room with no/poor ventilation. It was really difficult to breathe and extremely hot. This made it hard to enjoy the movie fully. I cannot imagine how it gets when it's actually warm outside.

It's an interesting experience. The place feels like an opera or a theater, definitely a.different vibe from the normal cinema. Also no popcorn. Many people were sipping on sparkling wine or something similar.

Love this theater but if you want to watch Oppenheimer the next days, go there in your bathing suits. It is extremely hot. No air con!! Not kidding. People came out melting. Why don’t you have an air con there. Or why don’t you turn it on?

Good: sound was clear and at a decent volume, balancing immersion and ear comfort. Bad: no climate control, no fresh air. The audience was fanning ourselves from the humid heat, everybody was sweating. Also: The seats are not designed for any movie longer than 90 minutes, unless you are a sadomasochist.

I went last Friday to watch Oppenheimer. It's literally a normal old Theater without anything special. It was clean and not smelly. Sits are good. Note that both seats and lines have numbers, and people check it, I would avoid sitting in someone else's seat. Don't trust who says the opposite. It is small so even if you are in line 22, like me, you have a good view, apart from people's heads (seats are just a little uphill). The volume was ok, from 1 to 10 I'd say 6. I'm giving 3 starts because it was expensive compared to other Kinos. I paid 34€ for 2 tickets. There are no popcorns, but you can manage to bring your own food and drinks. No one is there staring at you during the movie

One of the worst kinos in Berlin. The floor is leveled at almost the same height in the entire room so if you're in the back you better be a very tall person. I came here attracted by the 70mm (Oppenheimer) and had the bad luck to be in the back of the room so I had to endure 3 hours of film with the heads of half of the room in the middle of the screen! NEVER AGAIN

They say "original language" on their (English) website even when it is dubbed into German! We came all the way out to this theatre from Prankow in the rain by bike just to see Oppenheimer in 70mm having CAREFULLY checked for original language. About 10 other people are in the same situation of having to return tickets – or indeed wanting to, Germans with taste* are sitting with me wanting to see the actors in their original voice. Besides the travel time, you have to wait until they fill all their popcorn & drinks sales before you can exchange your tickets, making it impossible for someone else to get your seat as well. The staff were outstanding, I'm sure the theatre is cool, but the review stays low until Yorck Kino apologises and promises to correct their (EN) website. *I'm tempted to say "and language skills", but anyone who can read can learn to read subtitles. Sometimes I wish I lived in Denmark or Portugal, not Germany!
